In the summer of 2008, we began to work on a complete transformation of our Nursery/Garden Center. We built a new sales building and state of the art greenhouse with the help of Nexus Greenhouse Systems. We relocated our existing greenhouse and coldframes at the nursery, and installed a new outdoor sales yard with an all new sprinkler system. These changes have made our nursery easier to shop, with more of the products you need to make your gardening and landscaping successful!
Our landscape crews install and repair sprinkler systems and install all phases of landscaping including: grading, landscape rocks and rock walls, retaining walls, patios and walkways, tree and shrub removal, topsoil installation, lawn edging, lawn seeding and sodding, tree and shrub planting, waterfalls and ponds, decks and gazebos, fencing, landscape lighting, installing bark mulch, etc.. Free estimates are gladly given on all landscape and sprinkler projects.
We offer a custom design service for those who are interested in having a landscape design created for their yards, In addition, we do consultations on an hourly fee basis for those who need design ideas, horticultural advice, etc.
The nursery was opened in the spring of 1984 as Mountain West Nursery and was owned by Fred Braithwaite, whose main emphasis was in commercial landscaping. In March of 1989, Glenn and Eileen Bradbury purchased the nursery and residential landscaping portions of the business from Mr. Braithwaite, who continued to do commercial landscaping. We operated throughout 1989 as Mountain West Retail Nursery and at the end of the season changed the name of the business to Alpine Gardens.
